This bill will allocate funds to reimburse educators in K-12 public education for their personal contributions.
BE IT ENACTED BY LEGISLATE SENATORS VIRTUALLY ASSEMBLED THAT
Glossary of Terms:
Allocate: to distribute, award, or grant (resources or duties)
Funds: money or resources
Educator: a person who provides education, a teacher
Reimburse: repay, compensate
Personal Contributions: money taken out of a teacher’s personal account to better the learning environment of their classroom.
a. Grants will be provided to school districts at the end of every academic school year to be distributed towards teachers. Amount to be determined by the number of educators. teaching. A limit of $1000 will be implemented for each educator.
b. During each academic school year educators will be able to file all money spent on education taken from their own pocket and compensated. Educators should provide proof of payment through receipts, card statements, etc.
c. Only materials purchased to encourage or improve learning will be rewarded. Districts will judge at their discretion.
Punishments:
This bill will penalize districts choosing not to participate in a loss of funds.

This bill shall go into effect on August 1, 2023.
