Indian Point Repair

Renovate and fund Indian Point and stop its closure.

Whereas fossil fuels destroy the environment, nuclear power is a renewable source of energy that does not negatively affect the environment.

Whereas the closure of Indian Point would end jobs, renovations would create new jobs.

Whereas the old core is considered by some to be dangerous, renovations would make the Indian Point a safer place to work and safer for the community.

BE IT ENACTED BY LEGISLATE SENATORS VIRTUALLY ASSEMBLED THAT

Glossary of Terms:

Indian Point = A Nuclear Power Plant in Buchanan, NY

Reactor Core = The energy source of the power plant

Radiation = Energy waves that in high dosages can be deadly

 

 

The bill will use the funding to renovate Indian Point. This will bring back jobs to Buchanan NY and will help transfer NY into a new age of renewable energy and decrease dependency on fossil fuels.

Punishments:

If progress is not made according to schedule companies responsible for instruction will be fined amounts on a case-to-case basis.

Enforcement:

Progress of renovation will be monitored by the Energy and Telecommunications committee.

Enactment:

Indian Point Repair

will go into effect on

July 1, 2021, 4:00:00 AM

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The Governor and local officials of Buchanan NY will be notified.
